How to Upload Your Show onto Spreaker

Some important things to know first:

What’s Spreaker? 

Spreaker is a podcast hosting website.  Vancouver Co-Op has an account with plenty of storage for all your episodes ?   

Why should I upload my show onto Spreaker? 

So that the Vancouver Co-Op webpage for your show has an easily accessible, easy-to-navigate playlist of episodes for your listeners to enjoy (because, let’s be real.   The archives are not the nicest to navigate).

STEP 1 – GET YOUR FILE.

The file containing the episode of the show that you uploaded onto the WordPress website.

STEP 2 – GET ONTO SPREAKER.

Click this link, or type https://www.spreaker.com into your browser.

Click the white “Login” button on the top right of the webpage.  

The USERNAME is: Ask Technical Coordinator to create a username for your show in CFRO's Spreaker account

The PASSWORD is: Ask Technical Coordinator for your password.

So far, so good! 

STEP 3 – GET TO THE “MY PODCASTS” PAGE.

You’ll need to click the drop-down menu at the top right of the page, and then click on the “My Podcasts” option. 

STEP 4 – FIND YOUR SHOW

You’ll have to scroll down the page until you find your show (it’s alphabetical). 

Then, mouse over the image for your show, and click the “View and Edit” button that pops up. 

STEP 5 – UPLOAD AN EPISODE

Or multiple episodes, if you want to upload in bulk!

So, you click the “Upload episode(s)” button, and upload your file.

While it uploads, you can click the “edit” button to edit some things about the episode of your show.  

You can edit the title of the episode, change the permalink, all kinds of stuff. 

Whenever you make any changes in this ‘edit’ screen, be sure to click the “Save” button that will pop up at the bottom of the screen. 

STEP 6 – PUBLISH THE EPISODE. 

Once your episode is finished uploading, you’re gonna click “Publish now”.

Then, your published episode will appear on the Spreaker widget embedded onto your show’s Vancouver Co-Op Radio webpage. 

STEP 7 – CELEBRATE, BECAUSE YOU DID IT!

See?  That wasn’t so hard.  If you remember to do this every time you upload your show onto WordPress, then your show’s webpage on Vancouver Co-Op Radio’s website will automatically keep up to date with all your weekly uploads.
